Do not anticipate trouble, or worry about what may never happen. Keep in the sunlight.
Benjamin Franklin

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:6-7

Busy Weekend!

We got some last minute tickets to the Notre Dame game on Saturday, so off we went! They were calling for rain late afternoon, but we didn't care. We took advantage of the day and went for it. It was just Brian and I. It was fun actually having fun to walk around the campus and check out the bookstores. We actually made it into the game early and got to see way more of the pregame than we usually do! We started off our morning at our favorite bar, Between the Buns, where we got some free breakfast and helped ourselves to their wonderful vodka mixer bar :)

When then checked out the bookstore and walked around campus. It was perfect weather. As you can see below right before they open the gates people were anxiously awaiting the entrance of the players. The helicopter came, then the police sirens, and then the players!

Not positive at who we are looking at here, but I checked out their roster pictures online and I think it is Armando Allen, Woods, and now I can't even remember the others....but we identified most of them.

lol....this guy was taking pictures of the people taking pictures of him...

Dedicated tailgaters! This was taken from the top of the stadium.

The weather kept getting a little cooler. So I HAD to buy myself a new sweatshirt at the bookstore. It was still pretty comfortable out....

until the rain came and the temperature dropped. Then it got COLD! I seriously curled myself up into my poncho and sat perfectly still. But we toughed it out. It stopped raining during the second half, but we were wet and that made it very cold! I kept my seat warmer on the entire way home. But behind was FREEZING from sitting on wet seats!

We got home Sunday afternoon and decided to rake some of our leaves. Stella had a blast....jumping in them, running through them, throwing them, and helping "rake" them as you can see below (she is holding a broom)....

And I thought this was just a cute picture :)

Hey Jill!
My husband's boss gets tickets all the time....we are very fortunate because they are hard to come by! I will keep you guys in mind if he ever has some tickets he isn't going to use :) It would be a GREAT present...the games are so much fun :)

Stella is getting so big! She has had a growth spurt since her surgery. We are down to yearly appointments! Much better than every 3 months, but not quite to the 2-3 year spread you guys are at, but hopefully we will get there soon. Your kiddos are growing up fast too...hope all is well with your family!

Hey that would be great! I'll give you my number, I'd be upset if I missed a comment of available tickets. ;) I'll pay him for the tickets if he ever doesn't go. Thats great to hear she is already at yearly appointments. We were at 2-3 month checkups for a couple years. I was wondering if she had a growth spurt, thats is great, so happy to hear! Anyway, my number is 452-7923. Thanks again!
